    This qualification will help the learner understand and appreciate the concept of body image and explore some of the positive lifestyle choices they can make to help them lead a healthy and active lifestyle.

    Learners will cover:

    • Understanding the influences of body image
    • Know what is meant by self esteem
    • Understanding ways of building confidence and self esteem
    • Understanding how active leisure pursuits contribute to fitness
    • Understanding the range of active leisure pursuits available to them
    • Understanding the benefits and components of a balanced diet
    • Being able to participate in a range of active leisure pursuits
    • Being able to review a range of active leisure pursuits Being able to prepare a healthy meal

    There are 5 assessments across 2 units:

    • Assessment element 1 – worksheet
    • Assessment element 2 – worksheet (MCQ)
    • Assessment element 3 – leaflet/pamphlet
    • Assessment element 4 – activity log and review
    • Assessment element 5 – plan and prepare a healthy meal
